Hello, and welcome my beautiful shades! 💖

Happy New Year, my shades!! ðŸ¥‚ Sending you all so much love as we head into 2021. ðŸ’ How did you celebrate the big night? Let me know in the comments. ðŸ’Œ As you might expect, we spent a lovely evening with the prince & Zoe at home. At the beginning of the week, we were quite sad when we found out that we will not be able to see our friends and beloved ones because of new government regulations in the Czech Republic. I have been planning NYE since the beginning of December, and I thought I could not celebrate the big day without our friends. Surprisingly, it was one of the greatest NYE celebrations so far, we had such a lovely time. It was a night full of our favorite board games, bottles of champagne, and the tastiest sandwiches ever. We enjoyed endless conversations under a sky full of stars and planned our dream life. 💫

I hope you spent a lovely NYE. It does not matter whether you were with or without your loved ones. Remember, you are never alone, and 2021 will be better. Also, I would like to thank you so much! Your support, comments, and kind words mean so much, and I cannot tell you how grateful I am. I hope the next year brings you only good luck and great joy. ðŸ€

Hello, and welcome my beautiful shades! 💖

Can you believe it is already Christmas Eve? What a special, special day! ✨A day full of traditions and a time for family and friends to gather around and celebrate the holiday season. How do you spend your Christmas Eve?

It is also day 24 of Blogmas, and I have thoroughly enjoyed putting a post out every single day of December in the run-up to the big day. Whilst it is been stressful at times, I am genuinely happy with every post. Thank you so much, to all of you that have been following Blogmas this year.  It is my first year as well so I know it was rough around the edges. Let me know if you enjoyed it and if you would like me to give it a go next year as well.

Hello, and welcome my beautiful shades! 💖

Happy Christmas! 🎄 We are almost there, the big day is coming, and I cannot believe it is already December 23. Where has the time gone?! Anyways, as I mentioned in the previous Blogmas posts, I am spending Christmas with my parents & siblings, as well as the prince with Zoe. It is so strange to not having her nearby, I am really looking forward to seeing her on Sunday. ðŸ¶

Today has mainly been about cleaning & preparing my parents' house for Christmas. I had a lot to get done, both for work and for the festivities to come. I can see why people find the holidays so stressful - I am exhausted! ðŸ˜† Frankly speaking, I am a perfectionist when it comes to Christmas decor, and I really care about making sure I take time to prepare everything well. What about you my lovely shades? I hope tonight treats you well and you are all starting to get into the holiday spirit. ✨

Sending you all the merry and bright vibes!

Hello, and welcome my beautiful shades! 💖

Happy Tuesday! ✨ How are we doing? Let me know in the comments. ðŸŽ„ In today's episode of the Blogmas series, I would like to share my thoughts on a quite interesting topic. For the last couple of weeks, I have noticed that many people on Instagram shared videos of buying a puppy for their loved ones as a Christmas gift.

Honestly, I was quite surprised because a new pet can be a wonderful gift, but it can also be a tough challenge. Countless dogs are returned to breeders and shelters all over the world after the holidays because they were given as gifts to families who were not prepared for them. Dogs are amazing, but they require time, patience, and dedication – not to mention a lifestyle change. Parents can think about the best gift for their children, and you do not get any better than a puppy if you are purely wanting the “ahhh” factor because lets face it, almost every child wants a pet. When I was a little girl, a puppy was my deepest desire. I was sure that I would burst into happy tears at the sight of an adorable puppy wearing a big, red festive bow. I could not imagine that it will not be long before that cute ball of fluff starts barking, pooping, and chewing off its bow.

I truly believe that the best way to give the gift of a dog is to make it a planned gift. If your siblings have been talking about getting a pet for a long time, and they are prepared to take on the responsibility, then, by all means, bring your new dog home for the holidays. ðŸŒŸ On the other hand, if you are not sure, and have not sat down and discussed it with them, all about the time, money, effort, patience, and life-long commitment that comes with getting a dog or puppy, this might not be a perfect Christmas gift. You can start with a stuffed animal or a dog care book. The person you love will be still surprised, and who knows, he or she might decide to bring home a new family member next year. 💝

Have you ever gave someone a pet on Christmas? 🎁

Ho ho ho 🎅,

Hello, and welcome my beautiful shades! 💖

Happy Monday! ✨ Can you believe it is only 3 nights of sleep until Christmas? Time flies so fast, but it is Christmas. It is time to slow down, recharge batteries, and spend some time with the closest ones and have fun. Today, I would like to show you some of the Czech Christmas traditions. Some are a bit weird, mysterious, or heartless, some were forgotten but a few ones can still witness during Christmas time in a Czech home.

🎄 THE GOLDEN PIG ðŸ·

A legend says if you fast all day on Christmas Eve, you will be able to see a golden pig in the evening. It is a bit weird but very common among Czech children. As a kid, I was always so disappointed I did not see any golden pig after the whole day of fasting.

🎄 TELL YOUR FUTURE OUT OF THE NUT-BOATS 🕯

One sure-fire way to predict the future is to make boats from empty walnut shells for everyone, into which a lit candle is placed before they set sail in a bowl of water. If the shell makes it across the bowl, a long and healthy life lies ahead of its captain. Any shell that sinks signals is a bad omen.

🎄 READ THE HEALTH FROM THE SLICED APPLES 🍎

Another way to foretell whether your coming year will be lucky or unlucky is to cut an apple in half. If the core has four pointy corners, bad luck is on its way to you, and five corners indicate health and happiness.

🎄 FORETELLING MARRIAGE ðŸ‘

An old tradition says an unmarried girl should throw a shoe over her shoulder. If the shoe falls pointing towards a nearby door, marriage is on the cards for the coming year.

Do you know any of these Christmas traditions? ☃️

Hello, and welcome my beautiful shades! 💖

How was your weekend? Let me know in the comments. ✨ Today, I spend a lovely Sunday with the prince and Zoe because we celebrated Christmas Eve in advance, as I mentioned in the previous post. I wanted to take photos of Christmas dinner and presents but we ended up playing with Zoe, cuddling, and enjoying some quality some. Having said that, I was thinking about what you might like to read, instead of the previous plan for today's episode, and I ended up with a topic including board games. Because if you do not have plans for this Christmas and you do not want to settle on another game of charades, these games will keep you and your loved ones truly entertained!

🎲 DO NOT GET ANGRY, COMRADE!

This game was designed partly as a joke and partly to demonstrate the ridiculousness of communism during the Czechoslovak era. The goal of the game is to become secretary-general of the communist party and emigrate abroad. It is easy to play, and you should prepare a ton of Christmas cookies because there are many tricky traps. I bought it as a joke a year ago for my sister, and she bought it this year with her boyfriend for us because it is the funniest board game ever! EVER! ðŸ˜

🎲 MONOPOLY

A perfect Sunday afternoon boardgame. This is the classic monopoly that everyone loves. The game is fun whether you want to play for hours on end or just a little until you give up.

🎲 PLAYING CARDS

Without going into detail on certain card games and their rules, a pack of cards is the easiest to carry around and whip out and has hundreds of different games that can be played! A couple of my favorites are Durak, War & Crazy Eights.
What is your favorite board game? ✨

Hello, and welcome my beautiful shades! 💖

Hello, and welcome my beautiful shades! 💖 Christmas is almost here, only five days! Are you excited? ☃️ For today's episode of the Blogmas series, I would like to show you bits of our Christmas dinner table. Today, we enjoyed a lovely Christmas dinner with my sister & her boyfriend, and it was so nice to meet and play games together again. 🎲  With prince, we served a traditional Czech salad & fish sticks because none of us like the smell of a carp, and honestly, it was delish!

Tomorrow, we are going to celebrate Christmas with Prince & Zoe because we are planning to visit our families on December the 24th. There will be a lot of photos of presents, so stay tuned & enjoy this lovely time of the year. ✨

Hello, and welcome my beautiful shades! 💖

Happy Friday! ❄️ Today, I would like to show you the second part of the Christmas haul. I bought a lot of beauty products, and I am looking forward to giving you proper reviews on each of them. I would like to try new skincare products because face masks are giving me a hard time. I have already tried the Washing Cream from Balea, and it looks promising. It smells like Nivea and leaves my skin feeling hydrated. It is just perfect for winter because it has not caused my sensitive skin any breakouts. Lastly, the second product I would like to talk about is the 3 Miracle Oil Reconstructor from Aussie. At the beginning of this year, I went from long to short hair with blond balayage. As you can imagine, my hair was dry, and it was a horror to style them until I have tried this oil. I am finally able to manage my hair using this product. They are shinier, and unlike other products, you do not feel like you have glue on your hair.
What are your plans for the weekend? See you tomorrow. ðŸŽ„

Hello, and welcome my beautiful shades! 💖

How are we doing? Only 7 sleeps until Christmas! For today's episode of the Blogmas series, I would love to show you the first half of the Christmas haul. As you could see in yesterday's Blogmas post, I finally wrapped all the presents, what a relief. Honestly, I have realized that I have been neglecting myself for a couple of months. For me, it is easier to spend money on other people than on myself, so I decided to pamper myself because let’s face it. If you are an adult, you are busy, no matter what you do with your time. Which means we need a little pampering here and there. It does not to be expensive at all, you can enjoy a day in bed, watching Home Alone, and finishing the end of the day with the bubbles and champagne. ðŸ¾

From time to time, I love to treat myself with gifts. Frankly speaking, I was dreaming about the home pedicure set, and I finally got one! Taking better care of my feet is my New Year's resolution for 2021. For the cost of one pedicure at a salon, I can do a better job myself anytime at home with this machine.

Besides the party set, I bought these lovely panties. Love them!

What was the last thing you bought for yourselves?
